  • Primary purpose of the role is to ensure that all persons conducting work onsite with hydraulics and on hydraulic systems are competent to do so in a safe and efficient manner
  • Second purpose is to pass on expertise (skills, experience, systems and processes) to the National Trainers so they can become self-sufficient in maintaining a competent workforce ie. Train the trainers.
  • Map out training plans; design and develop programs for employees in Hydraulics and Hydraulic system maintenance.
  • Train employees to identify the nature and causes of defects or malfunctions in lines / systems using diagnostic machines and consulting with operating manuals
  • Training of personnel in items such as : Overhaul and repair hydraulic components; Fit fluid lines and pipes; Assemble and disassemble parts and systems;
  • Clean and lubricate parts; Record the condition of hydraulic systems, including malfunctions observed, and repairs.

  • Effectively conduct training in both a classroom (theory) and field (practical) environment. Emphasize competency assessment based on demonstrated skills.
  • Develop and enforce compliance standards for effective risk management in the operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems.
  • Work with other training specialists on issues related to the definition and review of training standards, preparation of inductions, performance of training, use of certification criteria and teaching aids.
  • Assist with incident investigations as and when required.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager within own competence.
  • Ensure all relevant training documentation is translated accurately by qualified translators from English into Russian (and Kazak if required)

  • Advanced Technical Trade Qualification from recognised Institutions
  • Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE)
  • Accredited Trainer & Assessor against a recognized awarding body
  • Computer literate, with a good level of Microsoft Office skills
  • Minimum of five years of experience within mining industry in a site-based training role or similar
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary Training Practice and compliance
  • Experience working in large multicultural and diverse organisations / environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
