Overview / Responsibilities
Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS JSC) is currently looking for Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team in Atyrau (KZ Passport Holders).
Remote work can be considered.
Responsibilities :
Attends design meetings and communicates effectively with members of Civil / Structural Group and other disciplines to understand design requirements, limitations and optimizations
Applies Safety in Design Requirements as per client s company and Kazakh Standards and codes / Eurocodes
Performs computer aided and manual calculations for steel and concrete structures as well as concrete foundations
Prepares Calculation Reports including steel connection design and concrete reinforcement design as per Kazakh codes and standards
Provides designers with sketches and guides them through detailing of structures
Checks Material Take-offs (MTO) prepared by designers
Supervises drafters in completing quality deliverables within time and budget
Checks design drawings generated by drafters against SNIP / GOST and Client requirements
Skills / Qualifications
Civil / Structural Engineering Degree or Diploma from Accredited University or Institute
Minimum 10 years of Experience in Engineering, Design, Construction of Industrial Buildings
Knowledge and use of Staad Pro
Knowledge and use of GOST and SNIPs
Minimum 5 years of experience in performing calculations for steel and concrete structures as well as concrete foundations
Minimum 5 years of experience in performing connection design and concrete reinforcement design
Effective communicator with work experience on International projects
Good English language skills
