Overview / Responsibilties
Wood (trading locally as JSC WOOD KSS) is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical / Piping Engineer to join our team in Atyrau.
Devises new approaches to problems encountered
Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers
Liaises with other design disciplines and equipment manufacturers on all mechanical related issued and acts as decisions maker on general aspects of packaged equipment design
Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations
Design and development, piping material specifications, preparation or checking of Equipment layout drawings, preparation or checking of design calculations and piping data sheets , preparation or checking of piping General Arrangement Drawings / piping Isometrics.
Preparation or Piping MTO.
Evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Ensure all HSEQ requirements are met within the Piping discipline in accordance with company procedures and management systems
Review of piping design documents and provide report to the Leads
Skills / Qualifications
Experienced in Packaged equipment engineering / Mechanical Engineering
Undergraduate degree in Engineering
Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in Mechanical / Piping engineering
Experienced in Technical Bid Analysis and vendor documentation review
Communication Skills (written and oral)
Good English language skills
