JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement and lead mechanical maintenance for all fixed plant equipment, ancillary facilities and process systems.
Support and coordinate the development of maintenance plans, budgets and schedules.
Manage the execution of maintenance plans and assessment of efficiency and execution improvements.
Manage and implement company safety standards and set expectations at all levels of staff and supporting contractors.
Support the integration of a predictive and preventative maintenance culture reflecting use of technology, monitoring, data analysis and RCFA.
Coordinate maintenance plans and tasks with Operations, I&E, Reliability and Planning / Scheduling Superintendents.
Develop staff teamwork skills to ensure integration with Operations and Maintenance, with a mindset of team success.
Define, implement and promote systems, training and standards that maximize equipment effectiveness and availability.
Lead maintenance practices that will focus on reaching operational excellence, and enhance maintenance capabilities to deliver improved equipment reliability, decreasing repair and maintenance costs.
Provide consultation and support to the facility as a Subject Matter Expert in the areas of mechanical integrity compliance and equipment reliability.
Developing short and long term strategic objectives and tactical goals for proactive mechanical integrity programs for the facility.
Review high-risk maintenance tasks and support oversight and training to minimize risk and failure potential.
Ensure that communications are timely and efficient with regard to staff, senior management and other groups as appropriate.
This communication will include and senior site meetings, reports as determined by senior management, programmed coordination meetings with operations and maintenance and other meetings as required.
Work as part of a team to establish and implement departmental policies, objectives and procedures.
Provide leadership for subordinate staff, including activities such as preparing work schedules, preparing job descriptions and assigning specific duties and tasks.
Select, train and develop candidates for subordinate roles with an eye towards those with exceptional talent for promotional and succession planning opportunity.
Lead and mentor the key departmental subordinates to ensure that the operational deliverables are consistently realized within their areas of accountability.
Ensure that the highest safety, health and environmental standards are met or exceeded and promote a culture of awareness and commitment to safe working practices.
Implement other tasks given by Line manager within own competence.
POSITION KEY REQUIREMENTS
Higher technical education with relevant specialization in maintenance, trade qualified or equivalent.
5 years of experience at similar maintenance supervisory roles preferably in Fixed Plant Ore Processing Facilities or similar heavy industry.
Proven background driving equipment maintenance programs and systems.
Extensive knowledge of Maintenance processes and practices.
Significant experience with the maintenance of large fixed plant equipment and systems.
Good knowledge of the integration of a predictive and preventative maintenance culture reflecting use of technology, monitoring, data analysis and RCFA.
Strong financial acumen, including the ability to read and analyze financial and operational reports.
Solid computer skills in business software such as Microsoft Office.
Experience with CMMS software systems such as Ellipse, Oracle or SAP.
Practical knowledge in strategic and annual planning, budgeting and applications for capital investments
Knowledge of the RoK legislative and other normative acts, methodological and other materials relating to maintenance activities.
Knowledge of the basics of RoK Labor Code, internal work order, HSE rules and regulations and fire safety requirements.
Driver’s License (B category, light vehicle).
Ability to prioritize tasks with an unwavering commitment to safety and best practice.
Ability to lead presentations and discussions around planning and reliability priorities and to maintain composure under stressful situations and make independent decisions.
Highly developed communication, supervisory, coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
