Job description

  • Awareness of Company’s Quality Policy.
  • Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, monitoring progress to maintain compliance to those schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinates the utilization of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the Project with all Lead Discipline Engineers.
  • Coordinates the assignment of personnel from other technical support groups within the company.

  • Supervisors recruitment based on workload forecasts prepared by Project Controls.
  • Coordinates the production of deliverables lists and cost, time and resources (CTR’s) for Proposals.
  • Assists the assigned Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of the technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project.
  • Helps determine the technical skills and man-hours required.

  • Ensures client criteria and scope is understood and met by all engineering disciplines. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions / meetings with the client.
  • Understands the client’s business goals in order to enhance the project work.

  • Prepares technical reports, project manuals, and documentation of activity for the client and management.
  • Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project disciplines.
  • Reviews and approves change orders. Notifies affected personnel of all changes.
  • Interfaces with procurement in coordination with vendors / subcontractors. Assists in bid analysis, vendor availability and capability.
  • Completes other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Support the Human Resources unit in the interview and selection process of hiring new engineers.
  • Responsible for assigning tasks, directing and evaluating work of engineers in line with the company performance evaluation model.
  • Qualification

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in major Onshore or Offshore Oil & Gas Projects (Pipelines, Gas-Turbine Compressors would be an advantage), or for Major Oil Company or EPC Contractor would be a plus.
  • Master degree in Engineering (Process or Mechanical preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of Managerial experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in international EPC Contract or PMC Contracts related to the development and execution EPC Contracts.
  • Relevant skills include Leadership of multidisciplinary team, Coordination and Engineering Management.
  • Preparation and hands-on experience in engineering documentation (specifications, engineering requisition, equipment data sheets, etc.
  • including training / mentoring of local staff, where applicable.

  • Sound knowledge of configuration issues, connectivity between systems, the requirements of safety related systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant International Standards Shell, API, ASME, ISO, (GOST and SNiP awareness could be an advantage).
  • Able to develop and implement a strategic plan for the company and to identify and procure the necessary corporate support and resources
  • Able to use all the resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Competent to solve managerial and organizational problems.
  • Able to develop new businesses in favor of the company.
  • Highly motivating towards employees to improve productivity and be able to make feel each and every employee as owner of the company.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Russian are mandatory. Kazakh and German are advantageous.
