Job Description :
Act as the PSC Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Be responsible for coordinating the pre-commissioning and commissioning of the Electrical equipment systems in conjunction with the specialist vendors
Co-ordinate and provide input to commissioning procedures
Liaise with PJV engineering design, construction, fabrication, completions engineers
Liaise with operations, maintenance and engineering teams
Provide input to specialist vendor commissioning plan and site acceptance procedures
Provide input to commissioning planning for all aspects of the commissioning
Provide input to commissioning plans and execution documents
Assign relevant pre-commissioning check sheets
Ensure electrical system is commissioned in line with Republic of Kazakhstan & Regulatory requirements
Co-ordinate Commissioning spares lists for electrical equipment
Co-ordinate the hands on training of the operators
Based in the Substation
Ensure work area safety
Prepare CTP’s
Prepare livening up procedures
Work with isolation authority to agree boundary isolations and LOTO to facilitate pre comm / commissioning
Confirm CTP’s and B sheets cover scope
Define resource requirements to meet plan
Manage the teams of techs executing B and C sheets
Act as SME during commission
Coach and mentor local techs
Drive B sheet and C sheet execution
Confirming tests are being set up correctly
Review and sign off check sheets and CTP’s
Drive PL closure
Review contractor weekly lookahead to understand if it’s realistic
Level 5 plan
Daily coordination
Yesterday what was planned, success / failure and any mitigation
Today What are we planning for today
Tomorrow Any prep required for tomorrows scope, (PTW, Test equipment, 3rd Party)
Raise RFI’s
Test equipment against RFI change
Confirm Red Lines are consistent with RFI and tested equipment
Requirements :
Strong knowledge / understanding of Electrical Equipment Systems
Hands-on commissioning experience relating to electrical distribution and generation systems
Ability to multi-task would be highly desirable
Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
Good communicator effectively communicate at all levels and on complex topics
