The organization’s business area - GIZ International Services - is the vehicle for offering GIZ’s services to international clients.
GIZ International Services intends to apply for an EU-funded project : European Union Central Asia Environment, Climate Change and Water Cooperation .
The overall objective of the project is to promote sustainable development in Central Asia by strengthening water and energy security and promoting green investments.
The specific objectives are (1) to enhance environment, climate change and water policies at national levels in Central Asia and approximate them to EU standards and (2) to promote informed green investments in the relevant sectors with proper consideration given to environment and climate change concerns.
The project will carry out the following activities :
1) Structured policy dialogue between the EU and Central Asian countries on all relevant aspects of environmental, climate change and water related regulation in the context of the EU-
3) Coordination with other donors active in the region, information centres and centres of excellence.
Qualifications and skills University degree in a field relevant to the assignment; Fluency in English is essential; Russian will be considered an advantage.
Experience in promotion of infrastructure investments, including advice on design and preparation of bankable investment projects.
Experience in the countries of Eastern Neighborhood and / or Central Asia and / or EU accession countries promoting water and energy security and / or green investments will be an advantage.
