What You'll Do

The Country Digitization Acceleration (CDA) Pursuit Team is responsible for working with government and industry leaders to accelerate the national digitization strategies to drive GDP growth, create jobs, build an innovation ecosystem and create an agile government and economy.

Cisco in Kazakhstan is seeking a CDA Project / Program Manager to focus on Country Digitization Acceleration programs. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in both working with Cisco Country Leaders and teams as well as government and industry leaders to deliver additional bookings while simultaneously supporting the development of intellectual capital and thought leadership.

The Program / Project Manager will perform all project management duties for CDA programs following a well-defined process of CDA acceleration.

The Project Manager will help to manage all facets of the CDA engagement such as project communications, scheduled tasks and deliverables, meeting cadence and other project management responsibilities.

The Project Manager will also be expected to gain a high level of influence and relationships with key stakeholders of the Country CDA Team and partners.

This role will require a relentless focus on adding value to customers by addressing their key pain points and challenges, and be able to present market relevant points of view and support complex client engagement journeys.

Program / Project Manager scope of responsibilities will include but will not be limited to :

  • Defining and validating project scope (e.g. define project vision, strategy and execution; identify project priorities) and creating project plan and schedule (e.
  • g. estimate work required and translate into tasks and duration).

  • Selecting and applying standards (e.g. define delivery process, role& responsibilities, and operational norms; ensure team compliance);
  • Identifying information requirements and gather necessary data (e.g. via interviewing, secondary research etc.) and analyzing and interpreting impacts and risks to business decisions and outcomes.

  • Assessing risk (e.g. identifies risks and creates mitigation plans) and defining metrics (e.g. identify measures for success).
  • Managing project delivery process (e.g. drive project through the different project phases, manage resources and headcount, track progress, identify, escalate, and resolve issues;
  • make recommendations and determine project direction).

  • Managing scope (e.g. analyzes impacts to project, clarify dependencies, constraints, assumptions; evaluate and administer scope change requests).
  • Managing project costs (e.g. estimate / forecast project funding; request budget and make reallocation decisions as needed;
  • ensure project is within budget).

  • Closing project (e.g. drive completion of project; manage project transition to client or business owner, conduct post project assessment).
  • Ensuring infrastructure is in place (e.g. on-going support).
  • Managing stakeholder relationships (e.g. identify and engage stakeholders; clarify expectations).
  • Facilitating meetings and managing information (e.g. develop and execute communication plan related to project, and report status).
  • Influencing others to make decisions and taking actions aimed at achieving common objectives that ultimately benefit the entire enterprise.
  • Consulting and partnering with others, offering views and advice that add value and perspective to situations.
  • Recognizing conflict as soon as it becomes apparent; clarifying differing needs; and executing appropriate strategies to resolve issues.
  • Driving change (e.g. identifies impacts to delivery, build awareness and support for change within the organization).
  • Creating roadmap (e.g. identify and prioritize projects and or tracks of work and translate into integrated delivery schedule and timeline).
  • Who You'll Work With

    There are several CDA Pursuit Teams throughout the world based in EMEAR, the Americas and APJC. CDA Pursuit Teams are led by an Engagement Director and supported by a Project Managers and Economic Analysts.

    These teams help the Country Leaders shape the Cisco CDA offering to accelerate the countries’ digitization strategies through proven Internet of Everything (IoE) use cases and the full breadth of Cisco products and services.

    Cisco projects the Internet of Everything (IoE) to be the largest wave of technology-enabled public and private sector transformation since the Internet was introduced.

    Who You Are

    In this highly visible leadership role, you will be responsible and accountable for the core team delivering CDA programs.

    Should you be interested in assuming this strategic role you should come with :

  • Market sensing : Know and understand market trends, needs and desires, based on customer feedback, market research and personal network.
  • Strategy development : Define strategy in collaboration with in-country team and the corporate CDA team to nurture and improve existing offers for uptake by in-
  • country teams, while constantly developing and delivering new ones.

  • Leadership : Grow and nurture staff of technical and business leaders to develop offers for in-country execution, in collaboration with the country team and stakeholders across Cisco;
  • and drive in-country teams to execute and provide feedback on results.

  • World-class execution : Drive ruthless execution of the strategy including shared offers and playbooks to meet aggregated country requirements, provide updates on success and future vision, and demonstrate constant improvement in all areas of the business.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Government Affairs experience and hands-on exposure to project management and consultative sales and delivery in the government, business and IT space
  • Expertise in project management, as well as demonstrated strengths in business, change management, technology and analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to link government and business requirements to technology capabilities and vice versa.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within Cisco and senior leaders.
  • Active passion and experience in innovative technologies.
  • Desire to continually learn and improve approaches and methodologies.
  • Desired Skills :

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, and strong experience in business and technology consulting with a strong track record of progressive experience and responsibility.
  • Government affairs experience and knowledge of Cisco products and services.
  • Bachelor Degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Fluency in English is required and additional languages are preferred.
