Job Description

At John Crane in Atyrau we are looking for a capable Field Service Engineer.

The Field Service Engineer will provide service to our external customers. This includes mechanical seals product troubleshooting, failure diagnosis, seal removal activities together with / supervising customer personnel, on-site inspections with preliminary report composition, seal installation activities including equipment commissioning, alignment, system checks and start up.

The role will be also providing day-to-day assistance in service centers in Caspian region seal repairs, seal failure analysis with report composition, maintenance of shop equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions, meeting with customers in plant or at customer’s site to resolve satisfactorily

Detailed failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution

Detailed technical presentations to customers in order to support sales or drive root cause analysis exercises

Manage and report personal workload, forecast job lead-times to meet customer and departmental objectives

Visit customer sites for technical measurement, seal installation and commissioning

Work in line with John Crane standards, procedures and policies

In addition, when not engaged in field activities, the Field Service Engineer will carry out the office based duties defined for Applications Engineer

The Individual

University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field

Experience : 3+ years of professional experience as Field Service Engineer or in maintenance role in oil & gas industry.

Engineering knowledge in a proactive multinational and multicultural environment. Knowledge of CAD. Strong technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio.

Languages : English, Kazakh, Russian
