Role Summary :
Responsible for leading of the Global Operations Finance site in Kazakhstan, providing controllership, statutory and accounting support to GE businesses within Kazakhstan, and ensuring the site functions as a true center of excellence.
Essential Responsibilities :
Ensure Accounting department is providing highest quality controllership and compliance services to GE businesses with utmost quality of service.
Clear understanding of business needs in the areas of financial reporting, general accounting, tax reporting, legal entity management, payroll admin services etc.
Build and maintain strong constructive relationships with all local / regional / global business and corporate representative, as well as Local authorities.
Monitor and improve customer satisfaction metrics (NPS).
Introduce the metric-driven monthly operations reviews
Drive the highest standards of controllership, accounting & compliance
Ensure accurate and timely operation of all daily general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, T&L, payroll, inventory, FA, taxes and cash management processes
Manage effective and efficient monthly, quarterly and annual closing prepared in accordance with IFRS rules for all services GE business and GOF Services activity
Review and develop internal controls across all processes
Ensure the organization is appropriately resourced with relevant competencies to meet customer needs and succession planning
Drive the performance management culture, ensuring clear expectations, objectives, roles and responsibilities
The person will be hired on the temporary contract (maternity coverage).
Qualifications / Requirements :
Significant financial (8+ years) experience within a multinational company as a controller and / or finance manager / chief accountant
Strong experience in both Kazakh statutory regulation (including but not limited to tax and customs regulations) and IFRS (US GAAP) standards, or experience in one and clear willingness to learn the other
Finance Qualification - CPA, ACCA or equivalent will be an advantage
Advanced computer skills : 1C, ERP (Oracle), MS Office
Clear communication skill ability to articulate problems and solutions at different level
Strong interpersonal skills and experience of managing relationships in a complex matrix environment
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines
Fluent English & Russian. Kazakh language skills is a plus
