CIS Emerging Markets (CEM), a part of BAMEAC, is a growing cluster that covers 9 countries. The CEM office is in Almaty.
As a Financial Controller you act as a business partner to the Line of Business (LoB). You support CIS Emerging Markets (CEM) to manage monthly and yearly planning and budgeting, and to ensure accurate financial and management reporting.
You prepare analyses to support decision making to drive growth and ensure proper resource allocation.
Drive and coordinate financial planning cycles and processes, prepare business plans and financial budgets.
Analyse operating and financial results of CEM. Provide high quality and timely financial and management reports to CEM and BAMEAC management.
Coordinate month-end closing process in CEM affiliates.
Develop and maintain performance measurement process.
Secure that CEM is acting in line with the company’s financial ambitions and targets, propose mitigating / corrective actions when necessary to achieve targets.
Ensure proper resource allocation within LoB and financial control over execution of targets and budgets.
Act as a strong finance business partner to LoB, including challenging business proposals, preparing financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
Forecast collections and stock-in-trade.
Drive innovations and digitalization projects to get things done smarter and faster.
Share best practices within CEM.
Coordinate due diligence process in CEM : execute initial risk-scoring of third parties in scope, conducting full Due Diligence for high risk third parties, coordinate finance solvency checks.
Solid financial background e.g. bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics (professional qualifications, like CIMA / CMA, etc.
would be an advantage).
More than 5 years of working experience in core financial planning and analysis, and financial business controlling.
Experienced user of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and business intelligence solutions.
Advanced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
MNC and pharmaceutical business experience.
Can do attitude, time management skills, ability to work with multiple tasks, ability to work in dynamic and changing environment.
About the department
You will join a team of Finance and Operations Department responsible for business in CIS Emerging Markets (CEM) : Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia.
You will report to the Finance and Operations Head CEM and be located at Almaty.
