Our broad range of high-performance microscopy workflows provide critical data at the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.

  • How will you make an impact?*The Semiconductor Field Applications Team provides technical expertise to our customers developing cutting edge products and processes using our state-of-the-art technology.
  • The Applications Manager will support the Applications team in their interactions with our customers while guiding them in the development and implementation of innovative solutions for the semiconductor and related industries.

    Using an understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing and development process, a familiarity with Thermo Fisher technology, and a deep scientific and problem solving background, you will guide the applications engineers on their technical work, support their engagement with customers' development needs, and coordinate with the account and product teams on key priorities and customer requirements.

  • What will you do? Support for technology introductions at customer sites, working with customer engineers to integrate our products into their workflows in the lab and fab for failure analysis, characterization, and metrology.
  • Application development and training to ensure that users can extract the full value of our technology and achieve the best possible results* Collaborative development of new processes and applications as customer technologies and requirements evolve.
  • How will you get here? Education Minimum educational requirement is an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field, or equivalent work experience and high school diploma required.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.*Experience Minimum of 6+ years of experience managing a technical team.*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of process development and characterization in the semiconductor or related industries.

  • Attention to detail, a focus on innovation, and the pursuit of continuous improvement.* Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and to support the technical and commercial sides of the organization* Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge positive relationships with customers.
