Job Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site control support in the execution of the contract.
  • Take primary responsibility for the management of all controls related covered equipment, including the interface between the control system software and hardware environment.
  • Act as technical advisor on all instrumentation and control aspects of covered unit(s).
  • Identify any logic modification or changes subjected to company plant management of change procedures.
  • Prepare list of part(s) required for each of planned maintenance and inspection and unplanned maintenance and inspection.
  • Assist company with regular reviews of maintenance activities associated with the control aspects of the covered unit(s).
  • Discuss controls systems related OEM issued technical Bulletin to company and plan the agreed upon implementation of upgrade or modification recommendations.
  • Respond to company's technical queries regarding operations and routine maintenance and liaise with company’s Integrated Control & Safeguarding System (ICSS), support services engineer for issues related with interfaces between package control system of covered unit(s) and company’s ICSS.
  • Maintain a documented history of all control system changes including set point changes or modifications for the covered unit(s).
  • Perform diagnosis and resolve maintenance or operational problems on covered unit(s) with support of company’s operation and maintenance staff and analyses with company unit trips and make recommendations to prevent similar occurrences
  • Provide on-the-job training of company’s operation & maintenance staff at no additional cost for the company. For the purpose of this Sub-Article, on the job training shall mean training performed by a typical Control Systems Engineer during the day-by-day activities without requirement of additional resources, tool, trainers, equipment and certificate by contractor.
  • Log, track, trend and predict essential mechanical parameters of covered unit(s) technical performance.
  • Provide technical advice and counsel to company associated with operation of covered unit(S).
  • Assist comapny with regular reviews of maintenance activities.
  • Discuss OEM issued technical bulletin with company and plan implementation of company approved modifications and upgrades, improvements and recommendations.
  • Maintain well-documented maintenance history for covered unit(s), and to be included in CMMS.
  • Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience

  • A minimum of eight years experience working on Gas Turbines, Compressors, Fans and Power Generation Equipment, particularly on instruments and control systems (e.g.Mark VI, CCC).
  • Broad experience with gas turbine control systems. Fully conversant with programming language and controls configuration software tools used in these systems.
  • Education Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
