Job Purpose

Assisting to Purchasing coordinator and coordinate ordering and receipt of supplies for BUE Kazakhstan Limited

Job Title : Procurement Administrator

Department : Procurement

Kazakhstan, Aktau

Direct Reporting Line : Procurement Coordinator

Key Accountabilities :

  • Producing Purchase Orders based on approved Purchase Requisitions
  • Ensuring that all invoices related to Purchase Orders are sent to Accounts Department
  • Updating vessels, line Managers, Superintendents and Clients of Purchase Orders progress when required
  • Obtaining quotes and purchasing stores, equipment and spare parts as required by the Company and Clients at the best possible price having due regard to quality and delivery times.
  • Liaising with other departments particularly the accounting, operating and engineering departments
  • Maintaining and updating records of vessels’ PRs spread sheets
  • Supporting and covering Purchasing Coordinator responsibilities when required
  • Communication and Working Relationships

    Internal : Interacts with all P&O Maritime Logistics departments

    External : Interacts with Subcontractors on the need of duties.

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties and providing support to the Purchasing Department. Processes purchase orders and requisitions, tracks and maintains inventory, reviews invoice, maintains files, and places orders as needed.
  • Complete related reports and documentation as required. Researches purchasing problems and questions, and performs miscellaneous clerical functions as assigned

    Minimum Experience :

  • Relevant experience in Procurement
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Windows environment, MS Office and other data base programs
  • Job-Specific Skills :

  • Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
  • Complete knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple task and follow through to completion
  • Excellent English, Kazakh languages
