Business Development Executive- International Development Institutions

Join KPMG Management Consulting team as a Business Development Executive within our Financial Management division.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Executive, your impact will be seen by working closely with Senior Managers and Directors to assess and ensure the smooth transition of new clients to KPMG.

The Business Development Executive will develop the effective networking strategy and the firm’s proactive participation in tenders to grow client accounts from Donor Fund / International Development Institutions.

Success does stem from a positive attitude, hard work and going the extra mile, but that’s not all!

You will

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of all KPMG services, and ensure the full range of options are presented to new and existing clients to maximise sales opportunities
  • Create quotes and professional submissions of all information as requested by clients
  • Generate reports of sales activities, including client visits and calls
  • Liaise with proposal group to ensure the proactive participation in tenders and the excellent communication channels exist to facilitate the successful handover and execution of the new and current projects
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • About You

    You have a strong background within business development and are able to build a portfolio of clients and manage those clients from a sales perspective so they continue to use KPMG’s services.

    You’re passionate about building relationships and helping organizations grow. The Business Development Executive will anticipate, identify and understand client’s needs and utilize the firm’s services to transform those needs into a reality for clients.

    The skills you need to excel in this position include :

  • 3+ years of experience in the sales field or / and working experience in International Development Institutions or / and working experience in International companies with a successful track record
  • Act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
  • Extensive knowledge of the related field (basic technical knowledge, main actors, trends / shifts, competitors, processes, regulatory frameworks of Donor Fund / International development institutions like EBRD, USAID, Asian Development Bank and etc.)
  • Present detailed concepts to an audience in a presentation environment
  • Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work and react effectively to a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent selling techniques and an ability to translate these skills into tangible results
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Listen and identify client requirements
  • Service oriented mindset
  • Work under own initiative and with a high degree of autonomy
  • Accountability and results driven
  • Ability to travel, sometimes at short notice
