Procurement Engineer ensured the scheduling and integration of project procurement activities for materials and services, including the availability of materials on site as planned.
His duties have included :
taking part in project planning and scheduling;
ensuring, in liaison with the Procurement Department Manager, the definition of the general purchasing conditions, preparation of the purchase plan for materials and services, as well as integration of strategic sourcing choices with project requirements;
ensuring, in liaison with the Procurement Manager Department, the planning and control of supplies, defining the order management plan, and highlighting any deviations from the scheduled times and any corrective action that may prove necessary;
ensuring, also upon reports from the Engineering Department, the prompt handling of any deviations, especially with regard to quality control, quantities and supply terms, even by getting directly in touch with Vendors;
ensuring the fulfillment of administrative, customs, insurance and legislative obligations, in liaison with the appropriate Departments;
ensuring the reporting of procurement activities
ensuring feedback within his area of responsibility, in order to update Vendor qualifications.
Higher Education Degree (in Legal, Economic, Engineering or similar) is mandatory, preferably including education in Western institution of higher learning.
Fluent knowledge of English language is required
Knowledge and experience in international PMC contracts related to the development and execution EPC Contracts.
Relevant skills include Leadership of multidisciplinary team, Coordination and Management.
Knowledge and experience in international procurement, contractual and legal practices related to development and execution EPC Contracts
Minimum of 5 years of supply chain management experience, preferably in oil and gas sector.
Experience in pre-award activities, involving qualification of Bidders, would be preferable
Contracts Development Experience, drafting ITB’s, utilizing differing forms of contract and pricing formats, particularly EPC scope and Lump Sum conditions.
Development of related supply contract and commercial procedures.
Supply Chain Management experience and hands-on Contract Administration experience, including training / mentoring of local staff, where applicable.
Experience in major Onshore or Offshore Oil & Gas Projects,
