We are looking to recruit an HSEQ Advisor to join our team in Saudi Arabia.The main purpose of the role is to support in the overall delivery of the Company’s business objectives, by providing guidance, advice and support in order to meet the commitments in the Sparrows HSEQ Policy Statement and to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and legislative requirements.
Position shall have a primary focus in supporting KSA operations. About this role
Maintenance of the Sparrows HSEQ Management System to meet the requirements of API Q2, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO9001.
In conjunction with the corporate HSEQ, develop and implement an HSEQ internal compliance and assurance audit programme.
Attending Industry / Client arranged meetings and seminars in relation to aspects of HSEQ
Liaising with operational personnel to develop and implement HSEQ Plans
Supporting operations management - schedule site visits to client location for purpose of carrying out HSEQ audits and inspections as required
Participating in incident investigations
Developing sound working relationships and co-operate with clients and others
Conducting review and amendment of processes to ensure legal and other compliance in respect of all aspects of HSEQ management
Assisting operations teams in conducting risk assessments
Providing coaching and advice to operational managers and supervisors in respect of managing the HSEQ aspects of their day-to-day undertakings
Contribute to the induction process
Delivering HSEQ awareness training sessions in range of topics
Liaising with operations managers / supervisors to develop and implement site and project specific HSEQ Plans HSEQ Responsibilities
It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with, and follows the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to the Management System processes / procedures.
The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health, safety and / or environmental legislation to follow these.
The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises. Qualifications & Experience
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
Auditing qualification
Incident Investigation training
Experience of delivering training in HSEQ topics
Familiar with working to ISO14001, ISO9001, ISO45001 or API Q2 requirements
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to organise and prioritise workload
Able to effectively communicate at all levels
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of information
Good understanding of company HSEQ requirements
