Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed
Witness on site Piping / Mechanicals inspections, surveillances, walk down
Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are on site. Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded and that testing equipment is calibrated
Monitor in process and hold point Inspection on equipment and / or material during construction and / or assembly in accordance with the CONTRACTOR’s ITP
Verify all the work is built in accordance to the design and verify against approved drawings
Inspector shall demonstrate working knowledge of ASME, ANSI, NACE, AWS, and API codes and testing equipment including Positive Material Identification testing equipment required for the inspection of mechanical commodities such as piping, pipe fittings, valves, etc.
Attend and witness testing associated with piping and systems. Typical tests include, but are not limited to NDE of designated components, hydrostatic, pneumatic, coatings and others piping QC activities as designated on the approved Inspection Test Plan for the contractor and Subcontractors
Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work.
To support the development of Contractual Project Quality Documentation( Quality Plan, ITR s) in Piping / Mechanicals works
Material (pipe and fittings) checking prior to spool fabrication to check if it comply with the given standards and specifications
Inspector shall demonstrate working knowledge required for inspection of work including but not limited to piping systems for pumps, motors, skids, valves, compressors, fired heaters, auxiliary equipment, packaged equipment piping systems, vessels, and tanks
Inspectors shall have knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 : quality system requirements and implementation
Must have excellent understanding of welding, weld symbols and weld inspection per the applicable welding Codes
Experience in welding inspection or fabrication of piping and vessels to international codes (ASME, AWS)
Candidate Inspectors shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ANSI B31.3, 31.4 and 31.
8, ASME section I, and other piping system installation related codes and standards. Must be able to read, write, interpret and communicate (both written and verbally) detailed technical concepts in English
Understanding all aspects of quality, safety and security requirements in a Project environment
Ability to work as an interactive of multi-cultural team
