The Office of the President is looking for a new Executive Assistant to the young but ptofessional team. The final candidate would be responsible on special projects: communication with state bodies, privatization and etc.
Key responsibilities and duties:Provide full support to the President; this may include, but is not limited to:Managing the President’s scheduleOrganizing meetings and events at the request of the PresidentProviding full logistic support for guests of the PresidentFollowing up on assignments given by the President to the Vice Presidents and other members of the University administration, and providing the President with progress updatesReviewing correspondence and reports provided for the President, and presenting them to the PresidentBriefing the President on key projects, activities, and issuesLeading, supervising and guiding, as appropriate, projects initiated by the PresidentAt the request of the President or the Provost and General Deputy to the President, represent the Office of the President to the external communityManage the day-to-day activities and administrative issues of the Office of the PresidentManage the maintenance of records of the Office of the PresidentSupervise, train and develop the skills of Student Assistants in the Office of the PresidentIn the absence of a Communications Coordinator:Write official correspondence for the PresidentWrite speeches and public statements for the PresidentServe as the President’s Cabinet (PC) Secretary: Organize PC meetings at the request of the President and/or other PC members; collect background information on the proposed agenda items and brief the President; create meeting agenda; take meeting minutes; ensure that the minutes are signed by all members; and maintain the files containing the minutesEnsure that the information on the President is correct and up-to-date on the KIMEP website and in other materialsCarry out other projects and assignments at the request of the President or the Provost and General Deputy to the PresidentPrepare and maintain regular financials reports on the Office of the President’s expenditures and work closely with the Accounting and Finance Department.
Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from a recognized and accredited universityProficiency in English, Russian, and Kazakh languages2+ years relevant work experienceExperience with project management and event coordinationWork experience in Central Asia or the CIS regionWork experience in a diverse, international environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and manage short-term and long-term projects and assignmentsAttention to detailProblem-solving, critical thinking and analytical reasoning skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation after-tax compares favorably with net salaries in western countries. Limited on-campus housing is available to rent. In addition to salary, a benefits package includes basic healthcare, reduced tuition rates for KIMEP courses, and relocation allowance.
The salary will be subject to deduction of taxes (10%) as required by the Law of Kazakhstan.
