Overview / Responsibilities
Wood (trading locally as PSN KazStroy) is currently looking for a Quality Advisor to join our team in Atyrau.
Promote the awareness of quality principles and concepts, promoting the review and challenge of working practices and methods to enhance performance;
Coach colleagues across the organisation in quality principles
Assist in the development and execution of contract quality programmes in accordance with Contract and / or Projects Execution Plan arrangements;
Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of the WGPSN quality management system
Assist in preparation of local management review data;
Ensure compliance of the WGPSN management system with current and new legislation;
Evaluate potential vendor’s quality capabilities prior to contract award
Assist with the execution of planned project, vendor and subcontractor and internal quality audits in accordance with the audit and review programme;
Effectively use and maintain the Wood Group IMPact database;
Support incident investigations
Support continuous improvement projects across relevant area of business
Support the development and communication of lessons learned and success stories
Attend project kick off meetings as required to provide quality support and advice according to QA / QC deliverables
Review and approve product / material requisitions and validate quality control and certification requirements
Assign and coordinate product / material inspection activities in accordance to the specifications set out in purchase orders, datasheets, drawings and client specifications / requirements, Inspection and Test Plans, etc
Coordinate third party vendor inspection visits, review and distribution of inspection reports Interface with appointed independent verification authority as required;
Participate in the recall of defective materials / product to ensure quarantine and replacement as required
Minimum Qualifications :
Diploma (or local equivalent) in Quality or relevant disciplines (desirable)
Membership of CQI or country specific industry body (desirable)
Quality Auditor Qualification by recognised industry body (essential)
Minimum Experience :
5 + years relevant experience (Preferably in the Oil / Gas / Petrochemical industry) - desirable

Good planning and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
Analytical, Problems Solving skills and Systematic thinking
