Job Description :
The Cost Reporting Analyst will provide cost and work management assistance in terms of commitments, expenditures and verification of invoices and forecasting against annual budgets.
This will take the form of a detailed cost report. The CA will provide a full package of cost engineering, work management, analysis and cost control guidance to the project teams
Provide support to the team and Reporting Lead in the preparation, maintenance and compilation of weekly and monthly reporting requirements
Assist in the gathering and coordination of information from all department groups of the project and work with the Cost and Planning engineers to develop supporting details and status to management
Ensure accurate and consistent reporting to allow project management to understand project performance and key messages
Engages Delivery Team Leads in the review and update cost forecasts and in the review of commitments against budgets and forecasts for assigned contracts within their area
Compiles and analyzes data for monthly VOWD submissions to Finance and upload necessary backup details to SharePoint
Updates and maintains cost management system (KCM) with budget, commitment, forecast, and expenditure data
Generates monthly cost reports and reviews with the Area Cost Engineer in preparation for rolling out an overall cost report to the Delivery Team
Helps to ensure compliance with cost and finance procedures and requirements
Checking payment applications / certificates and invoices
Prepare and deliver ad hoc reports as and when requested by the Lead Cost Engineer
Requirements :
Engineering or technical degree or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years Cost analyst / engineer background. Minimum of 3 years reporting experience and a broad understanding of project controls with no less than 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
Knowledge of project execution and prior experience with similar major capital projects is beneficial
Computer skills : MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)
