Bitfury is hiring a Finance Coordinator, a member of the Finance team based in Kazakhstan

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger, intercompany, banking and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with local accounting and tax rules and FRS
  • Oversee all aspects of the general ledger including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, allocations and account reconciliations
  • Ensure tight cost control over all aspects of Data Center operations including the construction related capex
  • Ensure timely and accurate periodic close requiring effective collaboration with business units and other finance department managers
  • Ensure that the services provided are compliant with local / regional laws; monitor changes in laws to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Maintain and review internal control compliance procedures; ensuring alignment with Global procedures
  • Coordinate outsourced bookkeeping company and BF finance department
  • Coordinate external reporting for Authorities
  • Cover budgeting & Cash Flow for KZ entity
  • Coordinate payments and inter-company transfers
  • Cover internal reporting
  • Coordinate payrolls
  • Cover relationship with local banks
  • Be a key contact for local external audits
  • Manage and report performance and operational metrics, as applicable
  • Review and evaluate accounting policies and procedures, proactively recommend changes where appropriate, institute changes for improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of indirect tax and direct tax (liaising with the Tax dept as appropriate)
  • Assist in ad hoc and special projects as requested
  • Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Recognised professional accountancy qualification i.e. ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of local accounting and tax rules and IFRS
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Fluent written / spoken English
  • Desirable : Cost accounting experience in managing fabless manufacturing processes
  • Strong communicator with no ego;
  • Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture;
  • Self-sufficient;
  • Multicultural approach, comfortable working with different cultures and mind-sets;
  • Appreciation to work in a global organization with employees in different time zones / regions;
  • Flexibility, the need to be comfortable with ambiguity as the business grows and evolves;
  • Hands-on nature;
