The primary mission of the O&T Risk and Control is to create a robust control environment, strong operational management culture and framework that ensure O&T has the necessary tools, controls and risk metrics in place across all products and processes.
This requires the proactive identification and assessment of risk and controls; working with businesses to reduce operational, franchise, reputational and strategic risk and minimizing operational risk events and losses.
Responsibilities :
Monitoring and performing verifications, proofs, reviews, and other independent control functions required in accordance with internal policies, as well as any day-to-day inquiries, correspondence, reconcilement, etc.
that are properly part of the audit function;
Create and maintain an environment where adequate controls are built into all bank’s processes;
Timely communication to Management of any potential control issues;
Daily OTRC activity;
Be involved in development of new control procedures; perform risk analysis of new products at the development stage; constantly review departmental controls to make sure they are adequate in the changing environment;
ensure that scope of daily / weekly / monthly / annual OTRC reviews covers newly implemented products and procedural changes;
investigations; to be able to deal with changing environment;
Be involved in revision of policies / procedures both related to control and to other departments of the bank and advise if any modifications are required;
Work closely with people in Operations and Management to make sure they understand control requirements and follow them;
Perform follow-up on OTRC reports to ensure that corrective actions are performed timely and adequately, escalate any delays to OTRC Head and;
Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications :
2-5 years previous experience
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to both work collaboratively and independently; ability to navigate a complex organization
Proficient in MS Office applications ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Project management skills, MCA knowledge
Education :
Bachelor’s / University degree or equivalent experience
