Overview / Responsibilities
Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS JSC) is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry (for KZ passport holders).
Responsibilities :
Review / understand of Scope Project and perform activities as per scope
Electrical Input to Project Plan
Identify Scope changes and report to Lead and Concerned Project Engineers
Participate in progress meetings and other meetings as required
Input for Progress Reports
Identify any concerns in the Projects and report to Lead and Project Engineers
Responsible for delivery of Electrical Documents / Drawings / Calculations / Reports / Studies / Job packs as per project scope
Perform site visits as required and produce Reports
Ensure deliverables are produced to meet the acceptable Quality Level. Follow Project Schedule and control the project cost
Liaison / co-ordination with sub contractors / vendors
Liaison with clients
Understand Client's requirements and follow the requirements.
Coordinating with other discipline. Responsible for IDC of other discipline documents, for Electrical interface
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features
such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult co-ordination requirements
Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers
Understand Company's Business Management System (Comprising Business / Quality Procedures, Guidelines, Policies and follow the same
Should be able to carry out industrial site surveys of discipline related scope of work. This may involve climbing ladders for scaffolding access (working at heights) and wearing of a safety harness.
Also confined space access , columns and pits
May be requested for inputs into technical bids
Should be able to evaluate vendors technical bid offers
Shall follow applicable standards and specifications for engineering design
Shall know and use catalogues of electrical materials in order to provide technically correct MRs, review and check technical offers
Shall provide technical support for less experienced engineers
Skills / Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering specialising in Power systems would be an advantage
A minimum experience of seven (7) years working in a multi-disciplinary Engineering office in a similar role is highly desirable
