Job Description
Job responsibilities : Electrical engineer works on a variety of concurrent projects ranging from Facility Modification Proposals to Major Capital Projects, with a focus on the Dunga Phase 3 project.
Support of other departments such as Operations and Integrity, Reliability & Maintenance and input to the continued effort of the development of local standards and guidelines is an integral part of the role.
This includes but is not limited to : · Produces or defines scope for electrical deliverables at each stage of the project and is responsible for technical quality and assurance of the same.
Conducts studies into the electrical distribution network and makes recommendations for the improvement and implementation of the project requirements.
Coordinates the overall design activities of projects to comply with local affiliate company guidelines, RoK standards and corporate company standards.
Reviews and approves contractor manhour estimations for various work scopes related to the electrical discipline.· Monitoring of contractor performance, assuring the application of all the relevant HSEQ and QA procedures is adhered to.
Providing technical support as required.· Liaises with other company departments to ensure free flow of information and delivery of designs that meet customer requirements.
Selection of the best technical / economical electrical solutions on company facilities.· Ensures that all elements in the project, design, installation methods, etc.
comply with safety, legal, and company procedures.· Technical evaluation of bids for electrical equipment and services.· Coordinate with other disciplines in order to avoid clashes and optimize installation work from safety, commercial and planning points of view.
Closely follow contractor engineers, craftsmen, etc. to ensure deliveries are to the highest technical and commercial standard, and the agreed scope.
Review and correct any deviations to the scope of work, both technical and schedule, suggest corrective actions when and where required.
Has responsibility for electrical systems definition of upgrades, extensions and new builds

Qualification requirements :
Higher professional education.
Experience in international oil companies no less than 8 years.
Written and spoken English is a requirement.
Proven computer skills, knowledge of MS Office.
Proven organisational skills and the ability to work in a service function.
