Overview / Responsibilities
Wood (trading locally as PSNK) is currently looking for an Interface Engineer to join our team in Atyrau. We are looking for candidates with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance to ensure that the company continues to differentiate itself from competitors by delivering quality projects to our client’s requirements.
The Interface Engineer will have primary responsibility for the engineering, documentation, planning and materials interface activities, deliverables and interface management registers required for the Project execution by MAC (Main Automation Contractor) Atyrau (Onshore -
Brownfields). The Interface Engineer will also act as a Tie-in Engineer and be accountable for managing of the Brownfield Automation tie-
ins, from early tie-in identification stage through detailed design, approval and execution. Principal Responsibilities : Work in accordance to project interface management plan.
Report to MAC Onshore Lead Brownfield Interface Engineer (Atyrau). Interface management and Automation Tie-in engineering coordination between Main EP Contractor, Client, MAC Offshore and MAC Onshore assigned by the Lead Brownfields Interface Engineer.
Maintain Project Interface for Onshore scopes, resolutions and actions. Work with MAC Offshore to ensure they maintain Interface registers for Offshore scopes, resolutions and actions.
Issue formal data to MAC Engineering to ensure TRS / Job packs design are current to agreed scopes and technical requirements.
Brownfields Interface Engineer) Identify changes in schedules and advise Project Controls with clear instructions on scope change for development of PVs.
Conversant in Control system engineering, PCS / ESD / F&G philosophies / specifications, I / O schedules, load schedules, block diagrams Responsible for preparing, coordination and execution of Automation tie-
Manage the information from Main EP Contractor to MAC and address any issues with missing or delayed data; Interface coordination between project team (internal) and other contractors at site (external) throughout different phases of project (Engineering / Construction) Interface coordination with Client.
Chair as well as Participate as well as in interface meetings between contractors for issues resolutions and progress tracking (inc.
preparation of minutes of meetings) Managing and tracking all established interface points Managing tie in database register.
Managing concurrent projects interface information within clients facilities Manage / coordinate all site surveys required by engineering teams for purpose of engineering deliverables.
Preparation of Interface related project procedures Construction interfaces coordination and execution Familiarisation and use of project doc management system for documents transmittals etc.
Site Execution Support (Working on Latest Docs and Clear understanding of Work Scope at site) Flagging scope changes and technical support provision in preparation of project variations.
Vendor support at site (Tech support in Contract, Scope & Schedule) Provide support to manage / develop MAC Onshore procedures, policies and plans.
Identify potential risks during interface duties and address them to MAC Onshore Risk Management focal point Participate in risk management workshops
Skills / Qualifications
Technical degree in Automation and Control Engineering / Instrumentation Familiarity with the Automation systems being utilised in the project.
Sound knowledge of control systems in general and the various transmission protocols in use. Ability to read technical drawings and documents and understand the details therein.
Ability in maintaining accurate and concise data registers Excels to communications and using the various software tools available to transmit the requisite information between the interested parties.
Excel in understanding and imparting verbally the technicalities of the project. 8 to10 years’ experience in project engineering and multi interfaces coordination.
