Supervises the safe execution of the (dis)assembly and lifting on site and observes the QEHS regulations : Performs regularly QEHS inspections and reports them.
Holds toolbox meetings : préjob toolboxes, heavy lift toolboxes, periodical toolboxes, ... with own staff, with subcontractors.
Reports incidents & (near)accidents in accordance with the Sarens safety policy.Ensures project execution is done according to technical execution plan / lifting or transport plan / contractual scope / site conditions : Daily optimizes work distribution in order to gain as much efficiency as possible with the available resources.
Day-to-day supervision of the (dis)assembly and lifting activity.
Draws up a day-to-day execution planning and keeps it updated (in accordance with project manager).
Has contact with the client on practical issues.
Instructs workers during the job whenever required.Reports, discusses and solves bottlenecks in (dis)assembly and lifting activity.
Responsible for requesting (and follow-up) equipment, personnel and transport within Sarens Group so that these can be delivered to the site on time / in economic manner.
EQF level 4 (Secondary school) in a technical education.
3 years practical experience as strutboom crane operator or rigger in heavy lift activities for Sarens Global Operations and Technical Solutions.
Good knowledge of English (speaking, understanding, reading)
MS Office including Word, excel, outlook, internet.
Safety certificate (e.g. VOL-VCA, UIC, CSCS, ...)
Slinging / Signalling certificate.
First aid certificate.
Valid driver’s license.
Valid international passport.
Knows the standard requirements at (de / re)rigging a crane (preparations, proceedings, timings) and is able to detect / foresee difficulties with it.
Able to determine the capacity of a crane.Able to perform a correct crane positioning.
Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics
Is able to rig any load.
Good knowledge of lifting equipment :
different types, advantages & disadvantages, when to use (or not to use) Knowledge of maximum lifting capacities.
