Essential Responsibilities :
In this strategic technical sales position, the Regional Digital Solutions Sales Engineer will establish a trusted advisor relationship with our external customers, internal technical teams and ecosystem partners.
He / she will collaborate with Regional / Account sales teams as well as the broader GE Digital sales teams, software development teams and product management teams to engage with key customers to sell GE Transportation’s Software &
Solutions suite of Train Performance, Optimization, and Customer Performance Analytic Solutions. Along with the Regional / Account sales teams, he / she will provide leadership for outcome oriented engagements at regional rail customers.
He / she will be measured on achievement of region Digital Solutions Orders Targets, as well as achievement of annual MBOs including participation in the outcome selling account planning process, ownership for technology introduction plans, and support of training / collateral development for the region.
The ideal candidate will Possesses Train Performance / Optimization Solutions technical expertise, be capable of leading the technical engagement, and developing / maintaining operations / technical stakeholder level relationships.
In addition, you will be a strong voice for our customers bringing technical and business requirements back to our product &
development team, helping to ensure our solutions continue to meet customer needs.
Execute on assigned operating plan and targets to assure that business wins profitable and productive Digital Solution sales
Provide ownership for account technical engagement
Build influential technical and operational relationships at all levels
Engage with customers to understand their current IT & OT environment and help shape the future state vision
Demonstrate technical expertise in Digital Solutions Offerings. Be the go-to person in the region for technical / application expertise
Drive key customer facing technical meetings in conjunction with the commercial teams.
Participate in and / or deliver solution demonstrations that focus on the customers’ desired outcomes
Along with the Region / Account sales teams, develop outcome oriented strategies to win profitable business from those customers
Integrate information, resources, and activities within the region and / or among global regions
Build link to Outcome selling model to ensure the technical strategy and value propositions are integrated in our GTM messaging, assessments, request(-
s) for proposal(-s) and proposals
Provide Integrate point for Digital Solutions information, resources, activities, and best practices within the region and / or among global regions
Provide regional input for annual sales pipeline planning and forecasting
Drive Digital Solutions strategy, training / familiarization, and growth initiatives / campaigns within the region
Identify and help develop key eco-system partners to complement our offerings and participate in development
Qualifications / Requirements :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Business, IT, or equivalent work experience
At least 5 additional years of experience in industry-related sales, application engineering and / or marketing
Fluent in English and Russian languages (writing, reading, speaking, listening)
Excellent communication skills
Must be willing an able to travel up to 50% of time
Must have legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan
Desired Characteristics :
Significant expertise in developing, selling, and delivering software and hardware solutions. Including creating and executing propositions and a track record of success
Previous technical sales, advisory, or consulting experience.
Deep understanding of Freight Rail operations, systems, and IT / enterprise architectures
Deep understanding of rail key asset (Locomotive / train), network, and operations systems
Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction to both technical and non-
technical audiences alike across all organizational levels
Fluent in Kazakh language
Masters’ degree, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Ability to deal with ambiguity, strategic agility, manage diversity and drive for results
