Overview / Responsibilities
Wood (trading locally as PSNK) are currently recruiting for a Senior Planner for our Atyrau office.
Liaise with Estimating, Project Engineers, Lead Engineers, Client and others as appropriate to identify and quantify project scope
Development, management and distribution of Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 project plans by WBS Area, discipline and as required for each element of work authorised by the Client
Progress reporting including man-hour, progress and productivity reports / histograms / fully developed working plan / s-curves / forecasts
Support Project Engineers during regular progress meetings and able to help update MPP, MDR Reports
Manage integrity of planning processes and monitor compliance and exceptions
Implementation of planning best practices for major projects
Manage the control of schedule and interfaces for major projects
Development and implementation of schedule and resource reports to support decisions by Project Managers and Project Engineers
Manage the implementation of Project Variation Notices affecting the schedule
Responsible for all major project schedules from FEED to Detailed Design and Construction through the Project Life Cycle
Analyse variances in performance against the plan, communicate reasons for variances and propose mitigation plan and corrective actions
Development and implementation of performance and function improvements in planning systems
Utilise Primavera P6 planning system and interface with Hard Dollar project control system (preferably)
Skills / Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication in English, Russian, Kazakh
Influencing skills - able to negotiate and persuade others
Able to work in different teams and handle changing priorities
Expert in planning technologies; expert in schedule development, including developing input from internal engineering disciplines, 3rd parties and Client
Good understanding of technical process development
Good understanding of project management approaches
