Your Responsibilities :

  • The manager who takes this position is responsible for qualitative, effective and timely legal support in Kazakhstan, as well as for support of international projects if required.
  • Advise the business and other support functions on legislation, various legal risks, other law-related matters;
  • Draft and / or review contracts, contractual documents, promo advertising informational materials, internal company documentation;
  • Represent the company before the local authorities in case of disputes, governmental inspections / investigations;
  • Take part in disputes’ resolution, negotiations and prevention as prescribed by corporate policies;
  • Lead litigations, represent the Company in courts;
  • Participate in implementation / practical application of corporate POLs & SOPs in the markets;
  • Create and maintain internal procedures aimed at managing / mitigating legal risks (e.g. contract approval procedure, procedure for disputes’ resolution);
  • Become a trustful legal partner to the business in achieving its goals and objectives in respective areas by providing high-
  • quality, proactive, objective and commercially-oriented legal services and advice with respect to Kazakhstan legislation concerning competition law, commercial contracts, advertising, manufacturing, tenders, distribution, logistics, employment law, etc;
  • Deliver trainings to the business on various legal topics and internal legal policies;
  • Support internal investigations, audits and other compliance initiatives.
  • Basic qualifications :

  • Higher legal education;
  • 7+ years of experience in a Multinational company or International law firm preferably Healthcare industry;
  • Fluent level of Russian & English;
  • Effective Influencing and Communication;
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and understand the need for continual liaison and information of regional and HQ teams;
  • Ability to deal effectively with members of various corporate functions with presence and credibility to secure support, buy-
  • in, and enthusiasm internally and externally for a course of action;
  • Ability to influence and work cross-functionally and interacting effectively within the organization.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Must also possess excellent relationship building, conflict management and networking skills;
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with attention to details;
  • Good judgment and commitment to delivering results;
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and client communication skills;
  • Effective project management skills.
