Description :

The Sales Manager will work independently in the assigned geographic territory to develop both new and existing sales account business, with the purpose of reaching sales targets and achieving manufacturer’s market share while maintaining acceptable levels of gross profit and attaining sales unit targets .

Requirements :

If you are our ideal candidate you may come with a proven track record of :

  • Any relevant degree or qualification; Bachelor's degree and / or certificates
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience working in dealerships
  • The ability to sell complete sales solutions and close deals
  • Proven experience of successfully reaching sales objectives
  • Proven experience of selling construction equipment combined with a thorough knowledge of all products and services and local area
  • Essential :

  • Clean and valid driving license
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Good client management skills (both internal & external)
  • Responsibilities : Sales

    Sales

  • Develop sales business within a predetermined territory, identifying new business opportunities and promoting the company's products of new and used construction equipment, parts and service.
  • Achieves sales and market share targets while running any special promotions or sales incentives as required, recommending special incentives or promotions in respect of customer accounts, maximizing sales or addressing shortfalls against sales targets
  • Quotes, negotiates prices and credit terms and closes orders
  • Attends sales meetings as determined by management
  • Customer Relationships

  • Undertakes a regular visit programme to all existing account holders in order to maximise sales, producing daily call sheets in respect of all calls made
  • Obtains necessary customer details to facilitate credit references and new account openings, resolving any queries with customers as required
  • Ensures that the image and levels of customer service are in line with both company and franchise standards and that all customer complaints are dealt with in a timely and effective manner, reporting any unresolved problems to the Sales Director
  • Supports the company brand throughout all department activities
  • Builds a loyal customer base
  • Handles all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and respect whilst actively managing expectations
  • Administration

  • Ensures that all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to
  • Understands and complies with government regulations that affect new equipment sales
  • Maintains standards for the delivery of machines to customers
  • Ensures all required reports (and contracts) are submitted on time and in line with company formatting, as outlined by management
